About the book · Books 1 & 2

Torn between two worlds

One world is Earth. The other is a star in the sky. And deep below the ocean shines a star that helps both planets survive.

Told through the eyes of Noelle, a nine-year-old girl caught between the two, the story follows her as she grows up, finding a place in each world and a way to belong to both. It moves through laughter and loss towards an eventual, hard-won understanding.

A sci-fi fantasy adventure, and the opening of a 13-book series. This volume brings together the first two books in one edition.
